Teaching the Youtube World Level and Panning Posted on 2018-06-16 by Alyson Hilland

Youtube has always been an important part in my life.  From uploading videos to going to California soon to meet my favorite creators at Vidcon; I knew I needed to incorporate both my Youtube world and audio engineering world as one in this weeks lesson.  As I was working out the levels and panning for my mix this week, I screen recorded the entire process.  Later on, I walked through the video explaining the steps I took.  I will include the bounced file of what has been done so far, as well as, the Youtube Video.

Something I learned in my Chapter 12 Lesson with Uncle Joey is how to represent a Bus in Audio Engineering.  Basically, a bus is a grouping on tracks that correlate.  When moving the volume of one track in the bus all the volumes will change at a corresponding ratio.  You will actually see in my video that I grouped tracks together based on instrument type.  On an analog board, you will notice that each bus has a separate "master" volume, but all share the master volume.
