Still have not been in the studio yet, however I am learning a great deal from just the chapters alone. The most important section for me in this chapter was the one on Digital Audio Formats. I learned a great deal about what formats are usefull, and which compression files to use. I had no clue that MP3 was a bad compression type to use; well an "unprofessional one." The information on lossy vs. lossless is a great piece of knowledge for an engineer/producer to have. I also learned the importance of sampling rate, and how closely tied together that is with bit depth. This will become very helpful with my sampling in the future because I now know the specifications! Great enough chapter to read it twice. I'll be sure from now on to set my low-pass filter at 17,000Hz with my MPC...Thanks Nyquist.
