Another great session with Uncle Joey. We sat down, went over each question from the quiz, and then he opened up Pro Tools to further explain some of the questions/answers. He explained latency by giving me an example I've experienced myself. So you record your vocals, everything on point, but when you go to play it back, there is a slight delay between the instrumental and vocals, and that is what latency would be. Then we talked about the delay compensation engine and how that can make up for some delay, and also how just having more RAM space will help eliminate latency. We talked about the different edit modes, as well as all of the edit tools. It was a great session in a long journey of understanding Pro Tools and how it works. Can't wait for my next session.
