Chapter 10 Blog Posted on 2015-12-07 by Eric Matson

Yet again, another wonderful class with Joey. After sitting down and going over each question from the chapter quiz, we proceeded to talk about several different plug-in formats and brands. This was after he explained that plug-ins are different ways to change a sound and that there are tons of them. Told me how Pro Tools does not come with AutoTune or any pitch correction, which if doing any hip-hop stuff, could be a neccessity. We then talked about the difference between inserts and sends, and how a send would need to go through an AUX track to be picked up. Next, we talked about Audio Suite and processing audio offline vs. online. Audio Suite is a way to save processing power, which you can preview your changes before rendering your track, which alters the track and creates a new track in your track list. He also answered a couple questions i had with regard to the sinewave assignment. Overall it was another great session with Joey and im looking forward to moving forward.
