im learning the standards for mixing more and more as the program continues. My mentor taught me that its important to compress almost everything! some sounds/instruments/pre-recordings need more compressing than others but its still a necesity when mixing a basic track. Hopefully over time my skill as a producer will increase and ill become fluent with these basic ideas when using protools and recording a session. My own mix is alittle rough but im understanding the basic ideas very well. Joey Couldnt have been more help with understanding things. He explains the ins and outs perfectly
