Crazy Baby Records: Independently Gifted Posted on 2012-03-06 by Zack Zapf

Awhile back I had the opportunity to setup, and help out for what was my first Hip Hop session at Audible Images with a more professional, Independent label known as "Crazy Baby Records". I was a part of only a few (3 to be exact) hip hop sessions, but this was more of a younger crowd of kids just starting out with hip hop. Crazy Baby was more well balanced and experienced, already with multiple mixtapes out, as well as profesional produced videos out on the web. Till this date, this has been my favorite session at Audible Images, because I actually got to be a part of how hip hop music is really made in a professional studio. This group consisted of 3 artist's and they were professional as you could be. They went by Duff Diggler, Maine PA, and The Theory. They knew exaclty what they wanted for each track they recorded, how many times they wanted a verse doubled, if they wanted highlights, ad libs, etc. They came in prepared and they understand the recording process very well. I had the opportunity to get a copy of their mixtape, and it was pretty well put together. they have an engineer out in Seattle who is really good at what he does . For example, on a song from Crazy Baby's latest work, which is called 'Burn It Down" there are a lot of effects put into this song that really bring it to life. This record labels engineer is a beast. Overall, i got to interact with a more professional, experienced label in the hip hop industry, and although they are not big, and well known, they still helped me gain experience on how to record hip hop music, which is what i hope to do once I recieve my certification. I'll end this blog off saying Thanks Crazy Baby, you got my support, and hope you achieve your ultimate goal.
