Kevin and I focused on getting familiar with pro tools. We started by going over the control panel and getting familiar with the tools I would be working with all the time. After that, Kevin showed me how he would set up his session in the edit and mix windows. Every time he sets up a project he does it the exact same way, from the color of his tracks to what he would name the tracks. Next he opened up a project he has been working on. This was a lesson to get familiar with the different plugins. At City View there are a lot of different plugins, but with this particular project he only used the plugins that came with pro tools so I could take what I learned back to my own mixes. The main plugins we covered were EQ and Compression.
