In light of my past couple lessons I've begun to notice a few things. First my reltionship with my mentor couldn't be better. Our time together consists of the best productivity I could have in any schooling situation. It goes to prove that when it comes to myself in a learning environment, I learn best when I have one on one attention. And the fact that our personalities and interests are similar, makes are working relationship that much better. As compared to when I attended Boise State University, where specific and important topics were time limited, shared with dozens of other students, never leaving me with enough time to have my understanding and questions answered fully. Next I've begun to take notice of my undoubtful progression. When I first enrolled into the Recording Connection I knew barely anything. I knew I had a DAW, some third party plugins, some equipment, a strong understanding of music compositon, a basic understanding of mixing and mastering, and a thirst and hunger for the knowledge to put it all together. Now when I listen to my latest completed track, I can tell that my skills have exceeded the goals I thought would take years to accomplish. My attention to detail is getting better and better with each passing day. By the end of my time with Patrick, I am confident that I will have had all the instruction on all the topics that I deemed necessary, interesting, fundamental, and obscure. Finally, my brand is beginning to take shape, my signature has been found and implemented, the Sundiatta brand is birthed and now growing bright amongst the world. Though the brand is young, it is already begun to draw in traffic. Though I admit, I am not the best social media go getter, my time spent networking and planning my social media posts has been done wisely, allowing me to draw in people and increase my traffic on my social media accounts. I feel the once I have successfully played around town, these numbers will boost even further. This should hopefully be achieved by next month since I have a couple of gigs already lined up.
