For my first lesson John and I started out by going over the subject matter of the lesson. He explained in further detail the different career paths in the audio field as well as waveforms, decibels, and the human perception of sound. We then went on to talk about the recording process as a whole, he briefly explained each aspect while showing me examples using sessions that he has worked on. Before I knew it, it was time to go home and I left the studio feeling inspired, educated and excited about what I will learn next.
