Today 5/24/2016 we covered wavelengths, the speed of sound, sine waves, and how to calculate the length of different frequencies (wavelengths). Sound travels at 1,130 MPH. Using 1,130 MPH as the constant you can calculate the length of a frequency be using this formula: 1,130/frequency=Wavelength. We also covered patch bays and the way they are used in the studio. We also covered limiters and their functions, compressors (DBX 166 and 160) and their functions, and noise gates and their primary functions. This was a great first lesson!
