Today was awesome! I got to learn a little bit more about protools by using it! I got to the studio in the morning and Bruce was recording a drummer. The rest of the band had already gone in earlier that week, and recorded to a click track. The drummer was playing to the same click track, and the music, and recording it. Bruce let me add in tracks on pro tools and test volume. Something that I thought was really interesting from this session was how Bruce would mic the drum set. I watched as he put everything together. He mics every single part of the drum set. The toms, symbals, bass drum, and he put two mics up for the snare drum, one above and one underneath. It was very interesting and mostly fascinating.
