My second blog post today! Boom!!
My mentor, Josquin, said to go ahead and push through a few lessons. This lesson was on electricity. I was able to relate easily to the lesson because the analogy to water and pressure makes so much sense to me... I grew up with a firefighter and I've heard my dad talk about water pressure and whatnot all my life (insert nostalgic sigh here). Also, while the lesson covered atomic chemistry, I flashed back to high school chemistry with Mr. Chen...
This chapter was interesting, because although I have worked in audio for years now, I have yet to be given a rundown on the electrical side of everything. I can run a mixer, sure, but when it comes to legs of power and amps vs. voltage and other specific power requirements, I am somewhat in the dark. I look forward to discussing this chapter with Jesse and Josquin and being able to delve further into the practical application and limitations of power in a real world setting.
Thanks for tuning in!
