An unusually quiet day at the studio gave me a chance to set up a recording session for bass guitar solo work (along with another student). I got a crash course in the SSL console and some basic channel controls, patching mono to digital for ProTools, and directly got to use the Ch 2 module on electricity as I had to do some research on the OHM rating of the head to find the correct cab for a half s.tack. It was really satisfying to gain such familiarity with the equipment in the studio, and of course, tres cool to play in a room where legends recorded over the years
