Lesson 9 – Pro Tools Basics

   After playing around with Pro Tools, I seem to be getting the hang of it. Going thru the chapter refreshed many things that Phil, my mentor, had already taught me. But it’s always good to go over things to refresh you’re your memory, right…

   Some sections of the lesson I skipped because it was talking about the preferences for windows, which I don’t have pro tools installed in, so that was kind of nice. Other parts I skipped because there were things I had already done or already knew how to do, so no need to spend time on that. This chapter was mostly on how to work Pro Tools and the very basics of the interface, so It was very easy for me since I had already done most of it a couple of chapters before chapter 9. Phil says he likes to get all the interns into pro tools as soon as possible in order to get us familiarized with the interface and so we can get to work as soon as possible. So thanks to him, this chapter was a breeze.
