Lesson 10 – Plugins & Processing

   This lesson was rather fun. I finally got to do something in pro tools that had to be turned in. This lesson was all about plugins, so I got to learn about all the different types of plugins and how they work. I’ve worked with several plug ins before, It’s not my first time so it wasn’t that difficult to understand everything that was being explained in the chapter. Something that I found out that made me a little upset was to find out that Pro tools doesn’t support AU plugins or VST. And even worse, Pro tools 11 only supports AAX. I have a quite a few plugins in my computer, but most of them were only VST or Aus. So it caused a little problem but I seem to have most of my plugins working now. I had to sacrifice some, but oh well. Apart from that It was a very interesting chapter. I really liked working on the sine wave project. I didn’t come out perfect but if I do say so myself, I thought it was pretty good. Phil said that he was impressed also and he thought I did a good job. So in my opinion I think it was a success. I hope there are more projects like this to come where we have to create something original. I enjoy putting my creative side to work.
