Week 8 has us open ProTools! went over many of the buttons, will take time to remember them all and think of what to use on the fly...in class we did a little mix of some pre-recorded stems- starting from "find a volume for everything" which is all I've ever done, really...... then moving into what really makes a mix that allows all the parts to breathe- panning them around, spreading out the sound.... Paying attention to what frequencies are in a track, putting high or low pass filters on things, compression, some eq- this is where the rubber hits the road! By the time we were done, a noticeable difference! Now home to drill on the key commands (no mousing!) and play with all the buttons until I know what they do!
