This week, we did an over view of all the plugins, and formats they come in, what is supported in ProTools, and what is no longer supported in the latest versions. Learned about using them as Inserts vs. Sends, and what that allows us to do, as far as "how much of the signal will be processed if you use insert vs. sends". Finally, got to play around with some audio and try some plugins out! Put it all together while making use of basic key commands (and a good opportunity to use/ look up more of those.) So many plugins, and I may never know everything every one of them can do, but breaking them down into categories helps, so when I'm looking in a category, I have many options to chose from, and as I play around with them that way, I will learn what they each can do/ how to use them.
