This week is the basics. What are all the buttons and what do they do? Also: Memorize the key commands, that make fast access to them all. This is the somewhat mundane but very important work: learning the controls, learn them well, and a solid foundation will serve you forever! I'm digging in! Repetition will be key....I'ts only one, and the first, chapter of pro tools. We are going at a good pace. I don't feel overwhelmed, so that is good! Just picked a set, and reinforce: first time in class, then in the book, and then with the youtube video tutorial...and I do it on mykeyboard at home while watching the video, take as much time as I want.... works well...
