Had a good lesson with Phil yesterday, there was quite a bit of information packed into chapter 3. We went over all of it, and he showed me some of the equipment that he used. He explained that a lot of it seems to be getting outdated as time goes by, and technology is making everything a lot easier to do everything, especially with protools. He also explained more in depth about compressing files, and showed me a mastering program he uses, which helps make things easier for compressing them and transferring them.

I sat in with Phil on Friday of last week, he was recording some guitar tracks for a project he is working on, and i got to watch how it was done. I am excited to get my hands on ProTools.
