5/6/14 - Lesson #1 Posted on 2014-05-19 by Tanice Provo

5/6/14-

Time In: 10am

Time Out: 12pm

Lesson #1

Today was my first day and it was more of a walk around and learning about each part of the studio. What each room, panel, plug in and machine did. Jason answered any questions I had and explained a little more about the history of the studio and what they do during their time at work. Before my session I got to see one of the producers working on mastering a track for a band EP. The song was awesome and watching him set up the speakers for playback, and explain why he uses those speakers instead of the others was great insight into the future. During my session they had another assistant who was cleaning and working on some things in the studio, he came in and joined us for a few, telling me about some of what the buttons and knobs did and why.

Overall it was a pretty good first day. I had a lot to take in and a lot to take note of. I'm excited for my next session and look forward to the lessons to come.
