I remember a time long ago when MIDI was this crazy idea that i had to really stop and think about. Plugins back then were garbage and outboard sound modules were the way to go.  I'm pretty confident in saying that USB didn't even exist back then.  Transferring "sound" from a module to your computer DID NOT happen...it was only information.  Took me a few minutes but I finally got it!  

This chapter started pre-midi with the Minimoog and transitioned into 1981 when MIDI was first thought of.  It was a good history lesson.  The chapter wraps up with a few instrument examples in Pro Tools and a new assignment to work on.  It will be fun to work on something new again.
