First Meeting with mentor and Lesson 1 and 2 discussion - Posted on 2016-07-01 by Bo Burleson

I met with Cole Schweitzer on Thursday June 30th at the studio Flat Iron Recording to discuss the course and also review lessons 1 and 2. Lesson 1 was a little basic since I have been working with Ableton a little bit already I choose to review the first 2 lessons. I understood both lessons quite well I did miss 2 questions on the quizzes but Cole and I discussed them the make sense to me just error on my end clicking the wrong answers. I have done online courses in the past it will just take a little bit to get used to doing them again. We talked about what I want to achieve from the program as well discussing some hardware such as an external hard drive. The book discussed this and Cole highly recommended it as well so this week I will purchase one. For the next meeting I will complete Lesson 3 and put together a small mix for Cole to see where I am at so far in my abilities and understanding of Ableton. All in all I had a great experience and it was a lot of fun as well I look forward to completing the course and working in the studio more and more.
