What up ya'll? As you can see I'm still slackin' on my blog. Been real busy over here on this end! In my last blog I wrote about a show we did at Carlo Rise Cigar Bar & Lounge in New Hampshire & how we (The Hashassins) booked another for September 18th. But before I get into that we were actually able to get a couple more opportunities to perform: at a hip-hop festival in Somerville, MA on 9/13 & at Opus in Salem, MA on 9/16. They all went great. It's always nice performing somewhere new & making connections with some of the local talent. The show at Opus in Salem, MA was put on by Wreck Shop Movement; which is a hip-hop collective that aims to further Hip Hop culture by uniting, educating and empowering people and giving back to the community. This was a huge show for us because Wreck Shop is one of the most important local hip-hop movements and they have a huge amount of respect around the greater Boston area, and Mass in general. It was a pleasure meeting with the people behind the movement & getting to perform in front of a crowd of people who are so passionate about the culture. Our second show at Carlo Rose, on 9/18 went just as well as the first. A bigger audience this time & still a good amount of energy & respect among the crowd. Vatican Life Music Group, which is a record label/hip-hop movement out of New Hampshire, have been putting on hip-hop shows every week for over a year at the same place. They also have a huge amount of respsect & support in the New Hampshire & Mass hip-hop scene, so we're happy to be connected with them as well. We also had the chance to perform at my hip-hop partners' college the week after, on 9/24. They have their own venue called 'The Spot' & it was pretty dope. I'll post a picture from that night. Also got to link up with the other artist who was performing who went by the name of Lski, he was a good dude. I'll be writing in my blog again tomorrow after I take my chapter 15 test so I'll get into the audio stuff then! Until then, one love.
