First let me just say that I love what I'm doing at Subcat. The first day I was there my mentor and I satdown together and I watched him edit an audio file from one of our local news stations. After he finished I toured around the studio with my mentor and got a feel of whats what. For example I was shown the different audio equipment used for different sessions, and electrical patchers that help them work. Inside the gig rooms there is such a dry sound from it that you can't even hear whats going on in the next room. Soon after the tour I was able to shadow Steven, one of the engineers that work at Subcat, during a session for a local rap artist. He was able to produce and mix 2 songs in a span of a hour, which flew by so fast.
After reading chapter 1 later that day I was able to understand so much that happened to me at the studio.
This is a picture of the studio I worked in at Subcat.
