Tonight was Lesson 3. Kris and I talked about Sample rating and bit depth and Quantization error; all that good stuff. Kris opened a blank Pro Tools session and showed me all the different bit depth and sample rates and the difference between all of them. After the lesson we worked on some. Kris had an amp that needed a new speaker so we broke out the soldering tools and went to work. It was pretty cool getting to work on something like that even though it was so simple. Afterward we worked on vocals for the band The New 76ers. Great band and great vocals. We had to do some adjusting and some auto tuning but nothing major to any of the tracks we did. Not the most exciting part of the job but defiantly one of the most important. Vocals need to be as perfect as possible.
