Trial By Stone was the band tonight. A great Dub-Reggae band, also a good group of guys. All the guys needed to do were to lay down some new material for an upcoming album. We set up all the mics for the separate rooms and drum set. The Drummer for the groups had a really nice Yamaha Stage Custom set, it sounded amazing. We recorded the bass using a direct in line and later Kris was going back to play it though a bass amp for a punchier and thicker sound. It was a very quick process laying down all the tracks because the band was tight enough to record all together live. That made things go a lot smoother and only had to come back to do some overdubbing. Very good group of guys and I plan on trying to get a hold of one of there cd’s because they are REALLY good. Not my cup of tea musically speaking (not being into Reggae I mean) but these guys had a good rhythm and nice sound.
