Have You Ever Spent An Hour Posted on 2017-10-01 by Trevor OBrien

So here's the deal. I wrote a very substantial, very well-thought out, very compehensive summary of my sessions recently and the chapters I completed. However, it turns out the internet Gods needed someone to play a joke on this weekend and they chose me. When I submitted my post the internet decided to take a nap and it all vanished. Basically, this means this entry will be very short, sweet and to the point! BOOINTERNET!

I was very lucky to enjoy my first broadcast sound experience last week for the FSU Jimbo Fisher call in show. Very, very cool to see how television broadcast sound is accomplished on live TV. I never thought I would be involved in broadcast sound. Skills are skills!!!

The first microphone section was excellent and in a nutshell I have an attraction towards an Ultra Cardioid mic for the purposes of recording 4 seperate accoustic instruments on each side of the mic in order to create a compound instrument controlled in a VST. Parameters could be determined by digital effects and it would be an amazing way to design a VST for multiple platforms! I REALLY want to test this.

So like I said at the beginning, I had very expensive long winded thoughts about the above subjects that I literally wrote out carefully for nearly an hour. So this is not only the summarized version, but it is the frustrated summarized version! Big things coming!!!!!!
