So last week I learned about the three different mics, ribbon, condenser, and dynamic. I learned that for the work I want to be doing, hip hop recordings, I will need to use a condeser mic.  I learned that dynamic mics are for loud use only and usually band equipment, not so much for the rappers.  If you have a melodic voice, ribbin mics may make your voice sounds incredible.  Some of the top hip hop producing mics are called norman 87 and they are clean, direct, and tubless.  They give that aggresive tone.
