Lesson 8 was about mic placement, studio or live, and the importance of a practice rundown before tracking/recording. From being in previous sessions at the studio, I understood this chapter pretty well. I've seen my mentor do the practice rundown many times and mic placement on many different instruments. I have been picking up on a lot of the practice rundown, checking signals, and the reason behind all of it. Still going to take experience and practice to learn placement techniques and what mics to use.
