Chapter 5 is like a love and hate relationship. what i like about this chapter is that you start the learn about different microphones and what they're purpose is used for. for example an AKG-P170 is a skinny silver instrument and vocal microphone that has a disavantage due to they're construction they are electronic and as durable as the dynamic microphone like the shure SM57 which is a old school microphone, hella old school but is still being use. another disavantage is that you have to be connected to a phantom power preamp to work or the condenser mic won't promote any sound, which need some source of electricity for sound to     project out. Another condenser mic that can be used with or without phantom power is a C1000S mic, which needs a 9volt battery.
