Last week my mentor and I were only able to meet on Monday, as he had a business trip to attend to. We went over digital audio fairly quickly, and then we moved right into the studio to work on the track I've begun editing. I'm also a full-time studnet at the University of Texas at San Antonio, where I'm taking a physics course called Physical Science. I find it interesting how my lessons in that class have aligned so well with what I'm learning through this program. I feel the reinforcement is helping these lessons to stick better, as I'm hearing different analogies from my mentor and my professor, and each explanation is aimed at a different goal. Not only do I understand digital audio and the mechanisms of sound for the everyday world, but now I'm appreciating its application to what I love, which is music.
