     This has to be hands down, my favorite chapter so far!  It just let me know that the possibilities to creating music are truly endless.  We are so blessed to have automation.  Something as simple as creating a session in Pro Tools and saving it, coming back to it later and having everything as you left it.  Before automation, it would take engineers quite some time to set up and breakdown from sessions.  If you wanted to remember where your levels were at you had to write them down.  Automation goes way beyond that though.  Virtually everything in Pro Tools can be automated.  There are also different types of automation.  This topic is too large to go in depth, but just know that it is amazing.  Automation is how you can hear complete silence, increase the volume, wobble a dub step track, and much more!  Endless possibilities!  Your mind and knowledge is the only limit!
