1st day - Zombie Posted on 2016-10-06 by Jad Bantug

I assisted Lenny today with some foley and sound design work. It was a trailer for short film with a working title - "Zombie".

We did some foley work first - ambient traffic, walking on gravel, random metal noises, Lenny and I even recorded some zombie metal growls (with some help from his trusty Eventide Harmonizer) and a couple of zombie-munching-on-people's-flesh sounds too.

After the foley work, we auditioned some synth sounds in Ableton and then imported them back to Pro tools. Lenny had already made a 1-minute instrumental music for the trailer so it was just a matter of placing, trimming, timing and mixing (rough mixing) all of the elements together to video.

I had lots of audio for video work experience back in my studio in the Philippines. Mostly I worked on ad/commercials and occasionally on some short films. Those experiences definitely helped me today. I'll post and explain one of my works on another blog or video post soon.
