Being in the studio and learning how to record and mix music is even more rewarding an experience than I thought. Everytime I learn something new it's exciting because I know I'm going to use the new skill to further my career and help make my music better. Going into a career without knowing everything about it is a recipe for failure. My mentor is a veteran of the music industry and makes even the most technical aspects of mixing simple to learn. Tonight we're recording two local singers. I plan on learning mike placement, mixing live sound, best method for handling two artists at the same time, and how to keep a good vibe throughout a stressful session. I'll post about my experience tonight.
