Bre Shuster — Los Angeles Recording Connection
My name is Bre Shuster, I am 19 years old and this is my first year in college. I am originally from a very small town in Northern California called Willits. I recently moved to Santa Barbara with my sister to go to the community college and finish my GED while attending the Recording Connection program to become an Audio Engineer.
I fell in love with music the first time my mom took me to a concert when I was ten years old. I loved the vibes and watching the crowds go insaine over the performances! This then led me to my interest in the creation of music. I ended up putting on a concert of my own my senior year for a fundraiser to help the senior class raise money for the end of school trip. I spent months finding performers, Djs, advertising, and selling tickets. It became a huge hit and as of today that is my best accomplishment. I started working at a music festival in Northern California called Reggae on the River which is huge, and very popular festival in that area. I started working there every summer so I would get free tickets, and could experience the raw music.
I am starting this music program without any experience at all besides the interest and passion I have for sound. I love all genres of music but my favorite would probably be alternatiave rock, however, I would love to learn how to make EDM and dance music. I am very much looking forward to learning more about Audio Engineering and becoming part of the music industry.
