Jovan Jovanov  professionally known as Jay Jayis a well-known Macedonian Songwriter, Composer and Producer of Pop, Dance and Hip-Hop music. Lately he started to compose a Film music. He plays the piano, guitar, and percussion instruments.

Born in Skopje, he began his music education when he was six years old. He graduated from Music Academy in Skopje. Now based in Los Angeles, he is studying at the Los Angeles Film School.

As a composer, he has cooperated with many well-known artists of the Balkan region such as Tose Proeski, Emina Jahovic, Lambe Alabakovski, Adrian Gadza, Slatkaristika, Tony Zen, Elvir Mekic, Bojan Marovic, Sladja Delibasic, Next time, Vlatko Ilievski, Victoria Loba and many others. He has received many awards and acknowledgements on fifferent festivals. His songs have represented Macedonia on the Eurovision Song Contest in 2004 and on the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2007, on the Eurovision Song Contest in 2009, Furthermore, he arranged Vlatko Ilievski's song for the Eurovision Song Contest 2011.

He launched his own label in Skopje in 2008, Jovanov Records Ltd. He began to manage other artists’ careers, and diversified into directing music and editing videos.

He has composed and released around 500 songs and has stated that his goal is to popularize his work outside the borders of the Republic of Macedonia.
