First day at Chung King Studios Posted on 2012-08-17 by David Reiner

"Today was full of anxiety.  Wasn't really sure what to expect when walking into the studio for the first time.  All I could think about was, "What's it gonna be like to meet John King?  What type of guy is he going to be? How willing is he going to be to teach me?" among a million other things.  It's kinda crazy to think about the fact that this guy.....INVENTED hip-hop.  The fact that I, me, David Eli gets to be "taken under the wing" of such an established and recognized producer is and honor, as well as nerve racking.

The layout and atmosphere of Chung KIng Studios could not be any more inviting.  It is probably the most relaxing environment I've ever been in.  Has a mellow, almost a theraputic feel to it. I couldn't think of a better place to write music.  Although renovations are not 100% complete, the finished product is in sight and it couldnt be any more exciting.

John couldn't have been nicer and more inviting.  We shook hands, gave our little introductions and immediately got to work.  After going through a few basics to get a handle on my experience, it was apparent that we will have a great working relationship"
