This was another day discussing consoles. We talked about the different fuctions of the amplifier and what it can do when you add different components to it. Some of these componets are to amplify equalize combine isolate and match. The process can do alot of things and its important to know how to do them. We also talked about the differences betweens the types of current ac alternating current and dc direct current. We discussed saturation and how it can lead to clipping in some cases. This could be noise or other hissing and distortion that you wouldnt want in your final mix. We talked about eq and how it achieves its tone controle through the use of a resistor / capacitor. This was a very good class it went over alot of basics to how audio is worked with on a professsional scale. We went over some of equipment that he has around Primetime studios like his rack of power amplfiers to boost the audio output to his large monitor speakers. The equipment used can be very exspensive ranging from a couple hundred to a couple thousand. It was a basic day going over consoles and lesson 7
