In my third session we talked more about the basics of acoustics, as we didn't cover all the points Mr. Orr wanted to the previous week. I feel as if many of our lessons will take atleast two sessions to encompass, as I ask so many questions, and Mr. Orr talks so much.(Which is good.) We talked about the different kinds of waves and what sounds they make, and what instruments make what kinds of sound waves. It's super cool to finally understand the science behind the instruments I've been putting so much time into. Mr. Orr even enlightened me on how my guitar string in itself is a wave when strummed. One thing Mr. Orr does that I really appreciate, and I may or may not have already said this, is how he wrights everything out. We go through pages and pages of blank paper and on everyone page he fills it up with little diagrams of topics that we discuss. Our session only lasted the normal two hours, sadly, but I was able to take away a whole ton of new stuff about acoustics that I hadn't captured from the previous lesson.
