Chapter 10
I've just completed Chapter 10 on Pro Tools Plugins and Processing, and finished the sine wave assignment. The sine wave assignment was a lot different than what I'm used to doing usually, but it was a lot of fun trying to get good sounds with the plugins; it's a very good way to become familiar with them, as well.
At the studio, Randy's currently having me mix two tracks by a country artist. There's a drum kit with 6 tracks, bass, 2 rhythm guitars, 2 lead guitars, a fiddle, a steel guitar, as well as lead and harmony vocals. Aside from getting to mix with such full instrumentation, we're going over how to save the presets inside plugins so they can be applied to other songs for more efficient and cohesive mixes. Really good stuff!
