I just completed the Chapter 12 quiz on Mix Theory, and chose which song to work on...actually, I downloaded all of them for the practice in different styles :) I'm glad there were several options to choose from, and I'm looking forward to getting the mix roughed out on whichever one I decide to use for the assignment. 

At the studio this week, we're using an Alesis D4 drum sampler to redo a poorly recorded drum track. Rather than use the samples in the D4 (since they're kind of dated), we're going to have it provide MIDI so we can use a different virtual instrument inside Sonar. We had to do a little bit of troubleshooting to get the MIDI signal routed properly, which was really good practice!
