I want to talk about these amazing talents coming from all of these minors in the music scene. The young talent is killing it these days, and the prime example of this as much as it pains me to say it is Justin Bieber. Being a child in the music industry is hard, they have to grow up but they also have to grow with their music and with their fans. Bieber made a name for young performers again and theyre all coming out of the woodwork. Scooter Braun alone has made 5+ superstars that were under the age of 18 following his huge success with Justin Bieber. Now straying away from our prime example i want to talk about the ladies in the game, Birdy and Lorde. Both have an equally eccentric voice, both are from different countries, and they're both minors. Birdy shot to fame with her cover of Bon Iver's Skinny love, then with her appearance in the Hunger Games soundtrack. Birdy has this innocent yet extremely sad voice and her vibrato makes me want to cry. Lorde is a whole other spectrum, she has this rap effect going while still sounding like Lana Del Rey and keeping with her genre of electro-pop. Now im not saying she sounds just like Lana because Lorde has her own sound that no one else has but there are definitely some influences there. For me every artist has a creep factor and Lorde is absolutely in my top 5. Creep is how many different/weird sounds or beats you get into a song, how much grit, how bad ass the lyrics are, etc. Creep is a good thing.
