Things have been incredible over the last several months of my time at Sanctum Sound and The Recording Connection. I have gotten experience with engineering, producing, recording, songwriting, marketing, A&R scouting, studio maintenance. I worked with an artist from Brazil under Mike Woods of Damone. Sat in on some great sessions with talented people. Got to work the door, do tech setup. escort and help out with the Bastille Event that we hosted at the studio. Personally got to meet the band and escort them to a shop. Met people from Virgin and Capitol Records. It has been amazing. Mike Woods has spent extra time with me at the studio throughout the program and has really helped develop my songwriting and production skills. I have learned how to work with people and proper studio etiquette. I would do it again in a heartbeat. I will also be posting some blog entries retroactively to document some notable experiences that I took notes on throughout the program. The studio owner of Sanctum Sound and Serenity West Recording has approached me about starting a studio blog based on notes that I have taken throughout the program. I also got to tune some vocals with Melodyne for one of his projects. All in all it has been a great personal and educational experience.
