Last week was another great experince with Twelve Music Group. I was introduced to one of Atlanta's hottest Audio Engineers Ronald "CAVEMAN" Rosario and his team. He's also a Mentor as well... He gave alot of sound advice and alot of homework to study. One of the key advice I took away from Caveman last week was to always be professional. That your team can make or break you when it comes to this line of work, so always have people around that you can trust and that trust you. That it is always key to protect yourself and your art because your skill/art is your brand and business. He showed us many things of how Audo Engineering and Producing can go hand and hand by small edits in protools. I thought that was pretty cool to learn from him. I also got to talk to Cavemans manager to get a feel of how it is with her line of work. She related the same thing as Caveman that it is so important to know and trust each other. To always know that you are a team and both are working towards the same goals. Caveman aslo inforced the idea to never limit yourself in this industry... The same thing that my mentor with Twelve Music Group "CAT" encourages me to do aswell. This past week I actually completed most of my course work with the Recording Connection so most of my material in the studio is just review and hands on work. We have a project coming up wich required submition of your hottest track.. Im looking forward to that. Its actually been four years since I actually recorded my own music so theres alot of pressure and enticipation about what I put out next. Im excited for everyone to finally get a chance to hear my next projects because this will include Songwriting, Vocals, Audio Engineering, & Produciton work majority by me (Kayla Parker). I go into the studio tomorrow afternoon for my first offical studio session in a real professional recording studio since 2011. I will be doing my first Recording Session at Twelve Music Group out of Purple Rain Production Room.
