As Im writing this blog I am currently at work with my mentor Christopher "CAT" Taylor at Twelve Music Group Studios. We are working and going over tracks. He just bought the new Roli Seaboard Keyboard.. I have to tell you this thing is a beast. I am learning alot just in genral so far. This past weekend I got the opportunity to meet Dina Marto (Owner of Twelve Music Group) In a speaking engagement here at Twelve Music Group Studios. She talked about so many things far as a business woman and coming into the industry. Before I came to the event I had my question I wanted to ask Dina ready to go once I made it to the event ... But before I could ask her she beat me to the question and answer. My question for Dina was going to be.. how does she manage a business and maintain time for herself?! Dina answer was simple, you make time.. that time is very important to you in genral. Taking care of your body is key to success. Even if you set aside one hour a day thats totally dedicated to you only is better than not considering yourself at all through out the day.
She had so much wisdom and knowledge to share with us and I was just a sponge soaking it all up. After the event I went home and studied the key things Dina pointed out and made some of those key corrections she said to work on.
I also presented my business plan and porject far as whats my brand with Twelve Music Group this past week. The meeting for the project was a total succes. What they are currently working with me on is to start looking people in the eye more and demanding exactly what I want. I am currently working and recording my own music as we speak.. And should have my completed music project done by the end off November.
There are a lot more things to come far as working with Twelve Music Group.. Especially for the Holiday Season.
