First Week Of October 2016 With Twelve Music Group Posted on 2016-10-10 by Kayla Parker

This week was great! I learned alot about my own home equipment use in my home studio used from a various producers and mentors including one in Huntsville, Alabama (My home town Born & Raise) working with Gold Street Music Studios. I learn about verious of ways of tweaking my macbook pro to make it run smoothier and much faster then its currently running. My mentor at Twelve Music Group Studios, Preston showed me who to work my Akia MPK25 in ProTools 12 for production. With the conclusion of learing how to EQ my mixes and recording to make the stand out more clearier. "Oh" before I for get... I also learned how to set up my sessions in a more productive way including the uniqe setup of using TrackOuts. So as you can see this week I had alot of Homework to hold me over until our next week. Twelve and my music family keeps me busy and I love it. We are still working on our Projects as well with Twelve for the month of October. My project will be completed first thing tomorrow morning... With the help of review from my business advisor Charles Brand of "Gold Street Music". Im excited about all the opportunties Twelve is trying to bring all of their student to.

This week I also got to sit in on a studio session with my mentor at Twelve Christopher "CAT" Taylor and up and coming artist (SInger/Songwriter) here in the Atlanta, Ga area name "ROSE". This artist was so amazing... the girl is only 17yrs old and will blow your mind into peices. She is truly talented! Never the less this studio session was a little different for me.. having to record a vocalist such as "ROSE" was different from recording one of Atlanta, Ga rap artist. A vocalist recording process is much different. Of course when cat through me into the fire to get my hand in on the session I was very nervious, but I slowly but surely got the hang of things. A couple more hands on sessions with a artist like "ROSE" I will be zooming through those session with ease.
