The midterm was pretty straightforward, the book presented the material in a well organized fashion so I didnt expect the midterm to be insanely difficult. What I enjoyed was having a relatively open session with my mentor, after I finished the exam I was able to take a look at some of the tracks that he had been working on that week with his clients. I was also able to see him mix/produce up close and personal. Being that I am a heavy visual learner, this is very beneficial for me. Plus he doesn't mind when I ask questions while he is mixing.
Now that I have Pro Tools, more and more of the mouse clicks and plug in drops that my mentor does on a regular basis, at light speed I might add, are starting to make sense and open doors for me in my own mix!!
