I'm excited that I am now beginning my lessons on Protools! I haven't quite downloaded it and played around with it yet but soon, hopefully. I'm starting to memorize quick keys so I'll be ready when we get into all that. Joe printed out a bunch of the key commands for me so that's super helpful to be able to read over a few times a day to really get familiar with it. The past week in the studio I got to see a lot of mixing get done which is cool because before that, I mostly just saw recording so I got pretty familiar with how that works and now I get to see how Joe finishes the songs. Peoria Star is the artist I've seen the past couple times in the studio, he's not only a great artist, but was really open and talked a lot about his views on different things even outside of music. So it was cool to talk to him and listen to what he had to say. I enjoy getting to know artist through their music but when they actually tell you about themselves, it's even more interesting. Joe is amazing at mixing/ mastering, it'll be fun to go over all of that with him when we start. But I can't wait to get into Protools, I'm ready to learn just how the studio works as a whole. Can't wait!
