This past week I learned mostly about how a room should be set up to hear the best acoustics. It's important sound doesn't reflect anywhere so none of the walls are parallel, there are no 90 degree angles anywhere and there are diffusers and absorbers on the walls and ceilings. All these alterations to the rooms in a recording studio are necessary for the best recordings and mixes. This week I got to sit in on a session with a different audio engineer who was a student of Joe's previously so that was really cool, he had me run some of the session and talked through everything with me so it was really helpful. He was recording a few of his friends, I think so he was more relaxed with their time and everything. I'm still playing around with Chirp and trying to make a little song with that. Just a couple more chapters and I'll be all set to go on my own.
