Sorry for not posting last week....

Alright, so i'm in module 3 Lesson 2 now. I took a break from reading over the chapter, and remembered that I never posted my most recent blog post.

Anyway, here I am today happy as could be. Keeping the Dream Alive! I am excited to have started the sound design module, I had played around with sound design before and I have watched hundreds of videos on YouTube. I am so glad I did that because it makes it much easier for my mentor and I to connect, and I acually understand what the hell Josh is saying. There is no code here. I now am a step closer to making and finding a sound or style that will seperate me from the crowd. I am really excited to learn from my mentors, and I was told that I will be colaborating with Skyler again next week. I am looking forward to that, It will be more fun to create new sounds instead of using presets, not that presets are bad. I just believe making something that no one else does is what I want.

I love how Josh geeks out over all the effects, he does a great job explaining what they are, what they do, and how. I know I now have a better undestanding of time, spectral, dynamic, modulaiton, and destortion effects. I have a lot of listening to do to master these, especially compressors, but I have faith I will have no problem doing so in a short period of time.

Above all, lately I have been having some people swing by my house to record them rap over my songs. Pretty cool. I have a little ways to go, but this module will help me get to the next level so I can make bette sounding tracks. We all have to start somewhere, I'm just glad I am doing what I love. Also, it feels good when someone likes your track, even better when they will take there time to come over and record.
